We at the Patchwork Paper are eternally grateful to
Waste Tech Sound System,
Musicians Ellie Harman, This is Laura,Wolf Larsen and YAOAY,
DJs You Know Huw and The Badical,
poets Teej and Yasmin Lorentz,

stenciller Ben Winerich,
and Poetry Builder Hannah McStar.

The funds raised at the night will go towards the printing costs of the next issue.

The audience sits captivated by Teej's flowetry

OH HELLO THERE

Welcome, creative kittens, to The Patchwork Paper.

The Patchwork Paper is the bastard child of Poda Poda, an arts and activism ‘zine we made and loved when we were back at Sussex University.

The Patchwork Paper has found her feet in the big city, and has knitted a patchwork quilt of truly original poetry, prose and visual culture for everyone to get involved with. In the current economic climate, the arts have taken a back seat. So here in your hand is a nugget of Art Activism:

We still need to express ourselves, whether the government will fund us our not. Our aim is to provide a free platform for art and literature, funded only by CRAFTY, our unique night of mystery and miscellany.

No censorship
No prejudice
No monetary exchange
Just your creative expression.

We will be back this winter with a bumper issue that you’ll be able to find for free in all the small, independent art spaces, bars and cafés from Hackney to Peckham to Brixton to Camden.

With love, thanks
